Val Kilmer, best known for his role in “Top Gun,” shares intimate details about his brief romance with Angelina Jolie in his new memoir, I’m Your Huckleberry.
Before Jolie found love with Brad Pitt, she and Kilmer shared a fleeting connection that left a significant impact on the actor.

Their story began on the set of “Alexander,” where Kilmer and Jolie worked together in 2004. It wasn’t until after the movie’s release that their relationship turned romantic.
In his memoir, Kilmer writes about how Jolie “rescued” him from a tough time in his life, describing her as a “soulful and serious” person.

“When people ask me what Angelina is like, I always say she’s like other women and other superstars, but just more,” Kilmer writes. “More gorgeous.
More wise. More tragic. More magic. More grounded.” He adds that despite the challenges of understanding someone with such depth, it was worth the effort.
Shortly after their brief fling, Jolie began filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” with Brad Pitt. Their on-screen chemistry quickly turned into a real-life romance, which became one of Hollywood’s most famous relationships.

Jolie and Pitt were together for 12 years before announcing their split in 2016, a breakup that made headlines around the world.
In his memoir, Kilmer also discusses other high-profile relationships, including those with Cher, Carly Simon, and Cindy Crawford. However, he admits that his failed romance with actress Daryl Hannah left him heartbroken.
Kilmer’s book offers a candid look at his personal life and relationships, giving readers a glimpse into the ups and downs of Hollywood’s dating scene.
