In urgent need of help, the tiny dog fell into shock, realizing that delivering her puppy naturally would be impossible due to her injuries. Fortunately, Fuzz Ball Animal Rescue, a dedicated animal rescue organization, came to her aid just in time.
To ensure her survival and that of her puppy, the Chihuahua underwent a caesarean section. Post-delivery, her severely broken leg had to be amputated. Despite the trauma, both the mother and her newborn puppy made it through the ordeal.
Fuzz Ball Animal Rescue later shared this incredible story on Facebook, calling the events nothing short of “mini miracles.”
The Chihuahua, named Xena, endured being homeless, getting struck by a vehicle, delivering a large puppy, undergoing a C-section, and the amputation of her leg — yet she survived it all. Today, Xena stands as a testament to resilience and strength.
More than four months after she first arrived at Fuzz Ball, Xena has found a loving and permanent home. Her journey has been nothing less than extraordinary, showcasing her tenacity and spirit.
