This morning at Fairhaven Lake, a German Shepherd was found resting by the water’s edge, drawing the attention and concern of many passersby.

Responding swiftly, Lancashire Fire and Rescue, alongside Lancashire Police and local citizens, collaborated to rescue the stranded dog. The animal has now been handed over to the neighborhood RSPCA and is reported to be safe and well.

In an effort to reunite the dog with its owner, the police have announced that they will examine nearby areas and review surveillance footage from around the lake.

A spokesperson for Fylde Police commented on the situation, acknowledging that the incident has gained attention on social media.
