Scarlett Johansson recently opened up about the challenges of parenting a toddler in a podcast interview, comparing it to being in an emotionally abusive relationship.

The actress spoke candidly about her experiences with her two children, Rose, 8, and three-year-old Cosmo, whom she shares with her husband, SNL’s Colin Jost.

During her appearance on Dear Media’s The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast, Johansson discussed the emotional rollercoaster that comes with raising young children.

She recalled feeling relieved when her daughter turned two, only to be blindsided by the intensity of her emotions and behavior when she turned three.

Johansson described the experience as intense, with no reasoning, emotional swings, bossiness, and an insistence on getting their way.

While parenting a toddler can be exhausting, she also acknowledged the rewarding moments of raising a baby, such as their unconditional love and affection.

The actress went on to share how motherhood has influenced her career, noting that she no longer works the same way she did when she was 25 years old.

She now considers the need for stability for her children and the impact of long working hours and relocation on her family.
