In an industrial area of Anand, a dog that was later named Anya was discovered living with her puppies. A rescue team from RRSA India decided to intervene for their safety.
The team initially focused on getting the puppies to a secure location and returned later to help Anya. Upon encountering Anya, it was clear she was both scared and disoriented due to her severe injuries. Yet, her primary concern appeared to be the whereabouts of her puppies. She showed no interest in food, did not attempt to flee, and seemed to communicate an urgent plea to be reunited with her young ones.
Anya was carefully transported to the RRSA Animal Shelter. Once she was reunited with her puppies, she visibly relaxed. Although she still harbored fear, the presence of her puppies brought her some comfort.
Anya’s condition was dire. She had a severe eye infection and her skin displayed signs of prolonged neglect. The shelter staff provided her with intravenous fluids and prepared her for emergency surgery. Unfortunately, her injured eye couldn’t be saved, but the surgery itself was successful. As a result, Anya began a slow and steady recovery.
She gained strength every day, her appetite improved, and her skin started healing. Surrounding herself with her puppies seemed to be a source of strength and comfort during her recovery journey.
Despite the scars left by her trauma, Anya’s determination shone through. Her transition from the chaos of the industrial zone to the safety of the animal shelter represented a significant turning point in her life. Due to the timely intervention and compassionate care she received, Anya now has the opportunity to recover fully and look forward to a brighter future filled with love and peace.
