In March 2017, firefighters in West Palm Beach, Florida, received a report about what happened near the homeless camp.
Captain Greg Godo and his crew will arrive quickly. When he arrived, he found a homeless man near a camp for homeless people, harassed by a dog tied to a tree. The poor dog was in serious pain, dehydrated and emaciated.
After saving the dog’s life, firefighter Marcos Orozco took him to the Jupiter Pet Specialties and Emergencies Center (JPEѕC). The firefighters will name the puppy Smokey.
“The little boy was pretty exhausted,” Gordo told the Palm Beach Post. “We only caught him when he was gone, he was upset. He was worried about his survival.”

The veterinarian, Dг. Latime rushed the puppy to receive treatment. He found the most serious burns on the dog’s back and hind legs. Dr. Latime told firefighters that the dog would need extensive treatment and care.
“During his stay with us at JPEѕC, Smokey received many blood tests (THANK YOU “shadow”), regular baths and changes of dressings/voltages,” according to JPEѕC’s Facebook page.
She also received hyperbial chamber treatments to help with the swelling and oxygen of the chemotherapeutic diseases.
When Smokey initially arrived at JPEѕC, he was apprehensive and afraid of everyone. However, as time went by, the dog became more comfortable with the vets and nurses. Captain Fat decided to take care of the puppy while he recovered from his injuries.
Captain Fat took Smokey home and presented his two dogs. The puppy was excited to have his new playmates!

One week after bringing Smokey home, Fat Captain took him to JPEѕC for a checkup. Just like Dг. Latime came into the room, Smokey jumped up and hugged him! Dr. Latime had clearly saved the dog’s life and would like to express his gratitude.
Smokey/Finn has been living with his mother for the past two years. The puppy likes his new home and continues to be a source of great joy for the Goths. Finn has developed a love for food and he and his mother have many birds together.
