While driving down a highway in Los Angeles, California, one motorist made a surprising discovery near an exit ramp. They spotted a pair of pointed black ears sticking out from the bushes. Initially, they assumed the creature was a coyote. However, a closer inspection revealed it was actually a fearful dog, a black German Shepherd mix, observing the traffic around her.

Having lived by the highway for weeks with nobody stopping to help, the dog seemed to have lost hope of ever being rescued. But her fortunes were about to change. The compassionate driver, determined to make a difference, posted her location on social media, calling for others to assist the stranded animal.

Enter Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy 29, a dog rescue based in Irvine, California. Upon learning of Miracle’s perilous situation, Hall became deeply concerned for the dog’s safety, especially after hearing about a serious accident on the highway. She reached out to the local community, asking them to notify her if Miracle reappeared.

A few days later, Miracle returned to her spot by the highway. Hall wasted no time and made her way to the exit ramp, determined to bring her to safety. She was relieved to find Miracle curled up in her familiar place but knew the rescue would be challenging due to the busy traffic.

In a social media post, Hall recounted the risky operation: “It was so dangerous for her and for me. I had to dodge cars to reach her with my big trap. I was scared, but I knew Miracle was too. One wrong move, and it wouldn’t be safe for either of us,” she shared. Carefully setting up a trap with enticing treats, Hall watched from a safe distance. Unable to resist the food, Miracle eventually ventured into the trap.

Hall returned to find Miracle safely inside and was overwhelmed with joy, shedding tears of relief as she realized the dog was finally safe. Although initially scared and unsure of what was happening, Miracle soon calmed down with Hall’s comforting presence. With newfound hope in her eyes, she was gently lifted out of the crate and taken to the car.

Once at the veterinarian, Miracle received a thorough examination, and fortunately, she was in good health. A friend of Hall’s named Jeanette offered to foster Miracle, providing her with a welcoming home. For the first time in weeks, Miracle could rest peacefully, away from the dangers of the roadside.

Though Miracle is still on the search for a permanent, loving family, she is thriving with her foster mom and enjoying a fresh start. Hopefully, her story will conclude with a happy ending, as she richly deserves.
