Vika had gone missing from her home, but fortunately, police and volunteers launched a determined search effort. They discovered her clinging to a fluffy stray dog, bravely weathering the freezing temperatures.
Lost on her way back from school, Vika found herself half a mile from home, surrounded by treacherous snow and temperatures plunging to -11°C. Without the stray dog’s warmth, she might not have survived.
After 18 harrowing hours, Vika was found at 8:45 am, cuddled up with the loyal stray dog on a mattress under a balcony, seeking refuge from the elements.
