Lewis Kemper, a 62-year-old from California, photographed the touching moment. Kemper described the event, saying, “The two bears held hands for around 20 seconds, hoping their mother would bring them some dinner, but unfortunately, she came back fishless.”

Kemper also noted that while bears enjoy fish, they are primarily omnivores, with a diet that includes many plants and grass. He added, “Bears are usually very calm, which makes them great animals to photograph.”

The cubs eventually joined her in the water to assist their mother, attempting to help catch their supper.

Despite their efforts, the family trio left the area without any fish, moving on to search for better hunting grounds.
